Across autumn term 2023 Trust staff attended a CPD event to improve the quality of teaching of Dance and Drama. We did this in partnership with Leeds Playhouse, Leeds Heritage Theatres and Northern Ballet.
On 5 December 2023, all children from all Trust schools attended Leeds biggest ever single schools event - seeing either The Enormous Crocodile or Oliver. This is to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Leeds East Primary Partnership Trust.

Tom Palmer, Yorkshire Children's author inspired pupils across the Trust as they celebrated their book week.
Children's author Tom Palmer, who created the Armistice Runner and Foul Play books, inspired pupils at three East Leeds primary schools as they celebrate their book week.
He is pictured at Grange Farm Primary School in Seacroft, where pupils from sister school White Laith Primary joined the fun.
The author, who lives in Halifax, visited three Leeds East Primary Partnership Schools this week, attended by pupils from five of the partnership's schools, which are celebrating all things reading with library visits, storytelling workshops and book competitions.
Grange Farm Primary School headteacher Jo Geary said "Tom provided inspiration during our book week for the reading work we have been involved in across the five schools."

Michael Rosen met pupils from LEPP at Cross Gates Primary School as part of our work to help children engage with literacy and improve their reading.
Grange Farm Primary enjoyed listening to story sessions with Ursula Holden Gill during and after the school day.
Seacroft Grange Primary School held a bedtime stories session and reading in strange places competition during Trust Book Week.
Danile Ingram-Brown author of The Firebird Chronicles visited White Laith Primary School during Trust Book Week on 9th November. The children had a great morning and were left inspired to write!
LS14 Trust held a garden party on Sat 3 June and invited the Trust to attend. Staff and a parent from Beechwood Primary School attended to represent the Trust and promote reading. Second hand books were donated and each child was allowed to choose a book, having completed a form to note why they like reading and their favourite book. Reading booklists were distributed to parents and conversations were held promoting the importance of reading. A reading tent was set up with cushions where children spent time reading their new books.
The Trust Talking Tips cards were distributed at a Bath, Book and Bed event held by our Trust partners, Cross Gates and Manston Children's Centre. Parents enjoyed sharing books with their children and were delighted with their cards. We received some lovely feedback. 'Thank you, there's some lovely ideas here'. 'What a brilliant thing to use especially when I'm out and about'.
The LEPP Year of Reading! Take 10 to learn to read, to love to read . . . Year 5 children at Grange Farm enjoyed visiting Seacroft library – the fantastic team there showed them how to use the library, gave them lots of fun activities to do and let every child take a brand new book back to school!
Children from White Laith Primary can be seen taking part in a drama session. Funding received from our Trust partner, Friends of Foxwood Farm allows us to use established theatre companies to enhance our learning through drama.
Year 4 at Grange Farm took part in No Pens Day activities. They partitioned using counters, read during guided reading and re-creaed a non-chronological report using pieces of text and images.

In June, Grange Farm Reception children took part in 'Chatterbox Challenge' to raise awareness of the importance of singing, telling stories and everyday interactions. Parents and children really enjoyed practicing and performing the Chatterbox Challenge songs which had a garden theme.
No Pens Day at Beechwood Primary School
A debating event was held at the Civic Hall where children demonstrated their debating skills in front of a large audience.
